Contest Rules: Each student will be responsible for coordinating their entries using the following guidelines:
•To enter contact Carolyn Cannon, senior customer relations coordinator, at 732-938-1035 or ccannon@njng.com no later than October 15, 2015.
•Open to high school students (or home-school high school students) within NJNG’s service territory.
•Students must be 13 or older to participate.
•Videos can be submitted as an individual or group project.
•Videos can be no longer than two minutes in length.
•Videos must highlight energy conservation efforts or ideas, with an emphasis on natural gas (such as heating, water heating, cooking).
•Videos should include the theme words “Conserve to Preserve®”.
•Visit the Save Energy & Money section of njng.com for resource material for your video. Natural gas conservation efforts should be the main focus of the video.
•NJNG team members will judge the videos based on content, accuracy, creativity and overall presentation and will award:
•Individual video winner $500.
•Winning group submission $2,500 for its club or class.
•Online viewer’s choice winner at the Asbury Park Press Web site, app.com, $500.
•Winning students’ schools will also receive a $1,000 contribution toward an environmental or energy conservation project.
•All entries must be received at NJNG by November 17, 2015.

•The following information must be included with the video:
•Student’s name, phone number and e-mail address
•Name of student’s school and phone number
•Name of designated school representative (teacher, administrator, guidance counselor)
•Winners will be notified in February 2016. Winner’s name, artwork and school may be used in various NJNG and New Jersey Press Media publications including, but not limited to, customer bill inserts, newsletters, newspapers, news releases and Web site.
THE NEW JERSEY NATURAL GAS KIDS AND CONSERVATION VIDEO CONTEST 2015 OFFICIAL RULES
1. CONTEST DESCRIPTION:
The sponsor of this contest, New Jersey Natural Gas Company (“NJNG”), is looking for an original video (an “Entry”) that best illustrates the theme of energy conservation efforts or ideas, with an emphasis on natural gas (such as heating, water heating, cooking).
2. WHAT ARE THE GENERAL RULES FOR THE CONTEST?
•This Contest starts on September 3, 2015, and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on November 17, 2015.
•Only legal residents of the State of New Jersey within NJNG’s service territory who are at least 13 years of age or older at the time of entry and are a high school student (or home-schooled high school student) can enter.
•This Contest is void outside the geographic area described above and wherever else prohibited by law.
•if you are immediate family (sibling or child) of a New Jersey Resources Corporation (“NJR”) employee, or of any employee of an NJR subsidiary, you are not eligible to submit an individual Entry (however, you will still be eligible to be part of a group submitting a group Entry).
•If you are a minor, you must ask your parent’s or legal guardian’s permission prior to submitting an Entry in this Contest.
•Entries may be submitted by e-mailing them to njngvideos@gmail.com or by sending a flash drive to NJNG Customer and Community Relations, 1415 Wyckoff Road, P.O. Box 1464, Wall, NJ 07719.
•By entering this Contest, you (and your parent or legal guardian if you are a minor) agree to abide by these Official Rules and to release and hold harmless New Jersey Resources Corporation, its subsidiaries, employees and agents from any and all liability or any injury, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this Contest or any prize won.
3.WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE VIDEO ITSELF?
To be eligible for judging, an Entry must meet the following content/technical requirements:
•Be no longer than two minutes in length;
•May not use any personally identifiable information in the video other than a first name or nickname;
•Must highlight energy conservation efforts or ideas, with an emphasis on natural gas (such as heating, water heating, and cooking);
• Should include the theme words “Conserve to Preserve®”;
•Must be your own original work;
•Must have obtained any and all consents, approvals or licenses required for you to submit your Entry; and
•Must not otherwise violate the rights of any other person or company by using their trademarks, music, logos, names or images without their express written consent.
4.HOW WILL MY ENTRY BE POTENTIALLY USED?
By submitting your Entry, you (and if you are a minor, your parent or legal guardian) are granting us an irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide right and license to: (i) use, review, assess, test and otherwise analyze your Entry and all its content in connection with this Contest; and (ii) feature your Entry and all its content in connection with the promotion of this Contest in all media. You also agree that NJNG may use your proper name, state and municipality of residence online and in print, or in any other media in connection with this contest.
5.HOW WILL ENTRIES BE JUDGED AND WHAT ARE THE PRIZES?
A panel of judges will review all eligible Entries received and select winners. The decisions of these judges are final and binding. The Asbury Park Press will display the finalists’ Entries on its Web site, www.app.com/njngvideo, where the public will vote for an additional viewer’s choice award. Voting will take place from 1/13/2016 - 2/15/2016. Votes are limited to one vote per day, per registered user.
•Individual video winner will receive $500
•Winning group submission will receive $2,500 for its club or class
•Online viewers’ choice winner will receive $500
•Winning students’ schools will also receive a $1,000 contribution toward an environmental or energy conservation project
If you accept a prize, you are solely responsible for all applicable taxes related to accepting the prize. If you are a potential winner, we may require you to sign an affidavit of eligibility, liability/publicity release and W-9 form. If you do not sign and return these required forms within the period listed on the winner notification message, we may disqualify you as a winner. The laws of the State of New Jersey will govern this Contest and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the New Jersey courts (state and federal) for any disputes arising out of this Contest.
